The almighty TETSUYA NOMURA
Date of birth: ?/?/1971
Fave character: Cait Sith
Tetsuya Nomura was hired by Square in 1992, where he worked on the battle graphics
in Final Fantasy V. Two years later he was the graphic director for Final Fantasy VI,
but it wasn't until 1997 that he became a character designer - the same year that
Final Fantasy VII was released. It was a total success, and for the next game, FFVIII,
he wasn't only character designer, but battle visual director as well.
Final Fantasy aren't the only games he has been working on, though. Other examples are
Kingdom Hearts, The Bouncer, Parasite Eve I/II, Brave Fencer Musashi, Ehrgeiz: God
Bless the Ring, Super Mario RPG, Live a Live and Chrono Trigger.
